Fireboy and Watergirl are two adorable characters. All you need to know about them is in their names! Unfortunately, the couple often find themselves in tricky situations! For instance, they have just woken up in the depths of the Forest Temple. Can you help them get out?
Get started with the basics!
This exciting platformer game consists of 32 complex levels. Are you brave enough to explore every corner of the Forest Temple? You can unlock new levels by successfully passing the previous ones. However, a cool feature of this game is the fact that you can follow many paths through the temple. Therefore, you can switch to a different challenge whenever you get frustrated or stuck. Isn't that cool?
The gameplay is deceptively simple. You need to control two characters. Move Fireboy by using the arrow keys. You can do the same with Watergirl by pressing the W, A, S, and D keys. Call a friend and play together, or try to coordinate your moves and play with both hands!
As their name suggests, the two characters have a particularity that forces them to work together to complete any level. Have you guessed what I'm talking about? That's right! Fireboy can't walk through water, and Watergirl will be killed by fire.
What is more, they can only go through the door marked with their symbol to finish a level. Can you use each character's unique abilities to escape the temple?
Overcome obstacles by using teamwork!
The most fascinating and challenging part of this game is the fact that you need to use both characters smartly to move on. You will come across many obstacles that can be surpassed using buttons and levers. They are even color-coded to make your job easier!
So what's the catch? While levers remain in the position you left them, buttons stop working if there is no weight holding them down. You can use a character, or even an object to do so. What about that box or rock? Use everything around you wisely if you want to succeed. Roll or push them around carefully! Sometimes they can get stuck in the wrong position, forcing you to restart the game.
Now that you know all the ins and outs of the game, it's time to work on your score. Do you see all the diamonds? Gather them all to receive extra points! Keep in mind that each character can only grab gems of their color. However, green ones can be collected by anyone!
Let's work on your speed! This is what makes the difference between a beginner and a pro. Finish a level in under one minute and collect all the diamonds to receive the best ranking! Can you believe that sometimes you can only do so by playing with both hands? If that seems too hard, call a friend an test out your coordination and communication.
