How to Play

Use your keyboard to guide Mario through the challenges ahead. Here's all you should know:

Enter:
- Start

Arrow Keys:
- Move Mario around

X:
- Makes Mario spin jump.
- Makes Mario jump off of Yoshi's back.

Z:
- Makes Mario jump. (Mario and Yoshi both jump when Mario's on Yoshi's back.)
- Makes Caped Mario float down slowly.
- Makes Mario swim.
- Enters selections on the selection screen.
- Makes Yoshi fly when pressed repeatedly (When Yoshi has the ability to fly)

A/S:
- Makes Mario accelerate.
- Mario can hold some objects by holding this button down.
- Lets Mario punch objects on the other side of the wire fence while clinging to it.
- After Caped Mario runs fast enough and jumps, he can fly.
- Makes Yoshi eat enemies when pressed; lets him spit the unwanted ones out when released.
- Lets you cancel on the selection screen.
- Makes Fire Mario throw fireballs.

Dinosaur Land is a vast world with many different areas to explore. You'll travel across a map, choosing which area to enter next. Each area is a unique level filled with obstacles and enemies that you must overcome to reach the goal at the end.

You'll need to master all sorts of skills to succeed. Can you jump over bottomless pits? Can you climb fences and swing from ropes? Can you swim through treacherous waters? And can you defeat all the enemies that stand in your way?

Keep your eyes peeled for special items that can help you on your quest, like the Mushroom power-ups or the Super Star! Also, if you collect 100 coins or 5 Dragon Coins(the big coins) in one area, you earn an extra life.

Beware! Each time you get hit by an enemy, fall into a hole or run out of time, you'll lose a life. Losing all of them means game over.

Many levels have secret exits that lead to hidden areas. Some of these hidden areas contain special challenges, while others offer shortcuts that can help you progress through the game more quickly. Be sure to explore every corner of Dinosaur Land to find all the secrets!

If you find a Yoshi, be sure to hop on his back and take him along for the ride! Yoshi can help you defeat enemies by eating them, and he can even gain special powers if he eats certain Koopa shells.
