In Super Mario Bros. 2, you'll jump into a wacky dream world and play as Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Toad, each with unique powers and abilities, to defeat Wart and lift the curse from the land of Subcon. In Mario Bros., you'll team up with a friend to defeat enemies in a classic arcade-style adventure! Ready for some action?
How to Play
Want to jump and run like a pro? Here's how to control your hero:
- Left/Right Arrow Keys: Move your character left and right
- Up arrow key: Enter doors
- Down arrow key: Duck
- Z: Jump or confirm your choices in the menus.
- X: Make your character run, pick up and throw things, or cancel menu selections
- Enter: Pause the game if you need a break or want to change your settings
Super Mario Bros. 2 is a unique adventure with a dreamlike setting. You'll explore seven different worlds, each with three areas to discover. Along the way, you'll encounter all sorts of strange enemies, like Shyguys, Hoopsters, and Birdos.
But don't worry - you have some cool tools to help you! You can pick up vegetables and throw them at enemies or even dig up giant ones for a super-powered attack. You can also use bombs to clear obstacles and POW blocks to knock out all the enemies on the screen at once!
Keep your eyes peeled for hidden Subspace areas, where you can find extra coins and 1-Up Mushrooms. And at the end of each world, you can try your luck at a slot machine game to win more lives!
What Else You Should Know
Super Mario Advance also includes the classic arcade game Mario Bros.! In this game, you can play with up to four friends. In Classic mode, you'll work together to defeat enemies and clear levels. Or, you can battle against each other in Battle mode to see who can collect the most coins or be the last Mario standing.
You'll face all sorts of tricky enemies, like Spinies, Fighter Flies, and Crabs. You'll need to use your jumping and dodging skills to avoid getting hit.
In Battle mode, you can use items and the environment to your advantage. Try throwing a POW block to stun all the enemies, or use the garbage can to trap your opponents!
