How to Play

You'll use your mouse to click, drag, and drop ingredients, just like a real chef in a real kitchen! Sara will be there to guide you through each step, making sure you have everything you need to create a masterpiece.

Ingredients:

For the Chicken:
- 1 whole chicken (about 3 pounds)
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder
- 1 teaspoon house seasoning (or your favorite spices!)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 3 cups water

For the Pastry Strips:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Ice-cold water

Instructions:

1. Cook the Chicken: Put the whole chicken in a big pot and add the water, celery, onion, bay leaves, bouillon powder, and house seasoning. Put the lid on the pot and let it cook over medium heat for about 40 minutes or until the chicken is super tender.

2. Take Out the Chicken: Carefully take the cooked chicken out of the pot and let it cool down a bit. Then, use your fingers to remove the skin and bones. You just want the yummy chicken meat!

3. Put the Chicken Back: Put the shredded chicken meat back in the pot and keep it warm on low heat while you make the pastry.

4. Make the Pastry Dough: Mix the flour and salt in a bowl. Add a little bit of ice-cold water at a time and stir until you have a soft dough.

5. Knead and Roll: Use your hands to knead the dough until it's smooth and round. Then, roll it out on a floured surface with a rolling pin until it's super thin.

6. Cut the Pastry: Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide.

7. Add the Soup: Pour the cream of chicken soup into the pot with the chicken and stir it all together. Let it simmer on medium heat.

8. Drop the Dumplings: Gently add the pastry strips to the simmering soup. Be careful not to stir too much!

9. Simmer and Serve: Let the soup simmer for about 15 minutes or until the pastry strips are soft and fluffy. Then, ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy!
