About Racing is Magic Game

Find out exactly how fast you are in the Racing is Magic game! Spike, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Applejack have organized the race of your lifetime. You need to control your favorite characters and put their speed to the test in a course across Ponyville. You need to help your friends work together and put each other's unique abilities to good use. If you manage to score the best time, you will receive one of the highest honors in the My Little Pony universe, the Crystal Crown. Do you think you have what it takes to complete this task successfully?

The first step of the game is picking a team. You will be presented with three categories of ponies. Earth ponies are fast and steady on their feet. Choose between the bubbly and outgoing Pinkie Pie and Applejack, with her practical spirit. What is more, you need to choose a pegasus pony. Only they can fly across the sky race right up there. Pick between the kind animal lover, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash, an outgoing daredevil. Next up, you need to pick a magical unicorn and enjoy its special abilities. Choose between the elegant Rarity and Twilight Sparkle, the magical prodigy. Once your dream team is complete, it's time to race!

How to Play

The gameplay consists of using the arrows on your keyboard to jump, run and duck. Remember that each category of ponies has a different ability. Activate it by pressing the space key. Don't forget to avoid obstacles along your way! Each area you need to race across holds its unique set of challenges.

You will come across a number of bonuses. Collect them to increase your performance. The stopwatch will improve your time. Check on how much you still have left by glancing at the timer in the corner of the screen. Go through the hoops to get a speed boost. Make sure to find the golden ones, as they will give you an extra speed bonus. Pick up red and golden apples to increase your speed and your power. However, make sure you avoid the rotten ones! They will slow you down and affect your score. 

Don't forget about the Alchemy bottles at the bottom of the screen. They allow you to unlock the special magic inside each of the ponies. For example, if you need a lake to freeze over, use the North Wind. Remember to click on the bottles if you need a bit of a magical boost!

Race your way through the levels

To begin with, you will need to race your earth pony. The course might seem quite simple at first, but you will find out more about its challenges soon enough! Press the space button to make Pinkie Pie or Applejack jump high. Make sure you use it to get past hurdles or across puddles. 

At every pit stop, you will be offered the choice of playing a mini-game. You will be able to earn bonus points towards your final goal. You might need to complete a puzzle, guide a pony through a maze or even match them with their cutie marks. Make sure you don't lose too much time at the pit stop! It all counts towards your score at the end!

The next level will take place among the clouds! Pick between Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy as the main hero of this adventure. Press on the space key to divebomb through storm clouds and discover new bonuses! 

The third and final level consists of a race through a mysterious forest. Don't forget that mushrooms can act as trampolines and even trees can move. Luckily, your unicorn friend, Rarity or Twilight Sparkle, will manage to uncover the enigmas of the woods! Click the space key to levitate bushes or rocks and reveal their secrets. 

At the end of the game, your performance will be judged based on your final time. You will be awarded a title and a prize, according to the number on the stopwatch. Can you become a true Canter Star or are you stuck as a Prancing Pony? It's only up to you in this thrilling game which will keep you glued to the keyboard!
