Now you can, in the company of the American Girls! Kaya, Caroline, Josefina, Addy, Samantha, Rebecca, Kit, Maryellen, and Julie are waiting for you in the American Girl dressing room. Talk to them to learn more about their clothing style!
The game allows you to study styles from the 1700s to the 1970s. Fascinating! The first step is to read up on all nine characters and the clothing of their era. The next stage is to customize a model. Finally, you can browse through the American Girls closets and put together a beautiful outfit. Are you ready to get started?
How to Play
The goal of the game is for you to learn more about the history of fashion. Therefore, the first step is to read up on what all the girls wear and their preferences. For instance, Julie represents the 1970s, the era of blue jeans and hippie symbols. Besides, you can hover your mouse over all the purple stars on their outfits to find out even more about each element. How impressive!
Choose the model you want to dress up! You can customize the skin color of your American Girl by picking one of the five options. Next, you can choose a hairstyle and color to compliment the outfit you're thinking of. Finally, you can pick out eyes, mouth, and a nose to complete your model's expression.
Whenever you finish, you can get started with selecting an outfit! Take a look at all the tabs at the top of the screen and navigate through them to see all the available clothing categories: top, bottoms, dresses, shoes, and jackets.
What else you should know
At the lower part of the screen, you can switch between the nine American Girls' closets. For instance, maybe you don't like any of the dresses in Kit's closet. However, you can look inside Samantha's or Josefina's closets for something more suitable. Just click on it to see it on the model. It's easy and fun!
Whenever you've created a fun mix of the girls' styles, click on the Photo Booth. Pick out a background then you can save the design to your computer! Feel free to make as many fashionable outfits as you like! You can redo all the steps of the process and experiment as much as you like.
